Hello, my name is Korey Berg. I'm a (mostly) sports photographer in Northern Virginia. My photography journey began when my daughter was born but didn't really ramp up until my two kids started playing sports. I'm an athletic trainer by education so I'm used to being on the sidelines rather than the stands. Photography helped me stay close to the action.
Snapping shots of my kids soon evolved into capturing images of the entire team as the unofficial team photographer. I really enjoy being able to give to parents what they can't get anywhere else. Freezing a moment in time that will never happen again. Capturing the ALL-STAR moments of ordinary kids.
When photographing an event my mindset is to capture the action of the game, but also capture those moments that occur "outside the lines". Dancing in the dugout. Singing on the sidelines. Blowing bubbles. Telling jokes. Kids being kids. In the end, I want the viewer to feel my photos as much as see them.
